Prioritize lighting
Combine available daylight with layered artificial lighting. A single ceiling fixture rarely creates a comfortable workspace for long periods.
Control sound at the layout stage
Place the office away from mechanical equipment and high-traffic entertainment areas when possible. Wall and ceiling assemblies can then support the acoustic goal.
Plan power and connectivity before drywall
Desk locations, monitors, printers, chargers, network hardware, and future flexibility are easier to support when outlets and data routes are planned early.
